COLLINS VINCENT LLC was founded by Collins Ofori-Amanfo and Vincent Kumordzie, who are the Principals of the firm. Our ideals and values are defined by integrity, technical excellence and providing quality work on time and on budget to the satisfaction of our clients. The firm delivers exceptional construction engineering, construction management, and forensic engineering services to meet the technical, financial and operational needs of its clients. The clients benefit from the collective experience gained by the partners from:
(a) building, bridge and roadway projects;
(b) conducting forensic investigations on new and existing structures; and
(c) working and resolving cases with Contractors, Building Owners, Property Managers, Insurance Companies and Attorneys.
Mr. Ofori-Amanfo is a Partner and Principal Engineer of COLLINS VINCENT LLC. He heads the Forensic Engineering Department of the firm and has broad-based experience including investigation of collapsed structures, investigation of construction defects and failures, investigation of condensation in building envelopes, evaluation of roof and wall leakage, field water spray testing of windows, and assessment of wind and hail damage and presentation of expert testimony. His work also involves giving expert testimony and assisting attorneys in resolving disputes over construction and materials-related problems. Prior to establishing COLLINS VINCENT LLC, Mr. Ofori-Amanfo previously worked for many years at Collins Forensics LLC, Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. Illinois Department of Transportation, and Twin City Testing Corporation testing construction materials, inspecting residential and commercial buildings and parking structures, performing highway construction administration, designing and supervising the construction of highway pavements, structures, and appurtenances. He received his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Science and Technology in Ghana and his M.S. degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. Mr. Ofori-Amanfo is a registered professional engineer in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, North Dakota, Nebraska, and Missouri. Also, he is a member of the National Academy of Forensic Engineers (NAFE), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM International: Performance of Buildings Committee), National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS), National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA), and Illinois Association of Highway Engineers (Honorary Member).
Vincent K. Kumordzie, P.E., Principal Engineer and Partner
Mr. Kumordzie is a Partner and Principal Engineer of COLLINS VINCENT LLC. He heads the Construction Engineering and admin Department of the firm and has extensive and hands-on experience in Bridge engineering design, Bridge construction, and project management. Prior to establishing COLLINS VINCENT LLC, Mr. Kumordzie worked for many years at CKI Associates, HNTB Corporation, Virginia Department of Transportation in the area of Civil & Bridge Engineering, Construction and Rehabilitation and project management. A graduate of the Kharkov State Institute of Highway Engineering, Mr. Kumordzie is a registered professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.
